Pastor Keion (00:22):
Hey everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Take Action. I told you it was going to get rough. I told you we saw all kinds of comments on the wall as to how this was stepping on your toes and Pastor was doing this and all of that. Listen, I am making soldiers out of you because soldiers win, soldiers win, soldiers win. And we’re going to start off today with our second part of the secrets to victory and I stopped last week telling you about girding yourself up with the truth and I talked about how you cannot expect a victory over the father of lies and you live outside of the truth. The second part to that is the breastplate of righteousness. Now, I’ve done some research on that and found out that the breastplate of righteousness actually has to do with our character. Okay? You have to trust me on that. This is verse 14, the B part. It says The breastplate was made of metal plates or chains, which covered the body from the neck to the waist on the front and the back. Okay? So the breastplate of righteousness is useless if you don’t have a heart.

(01:47):
That’s what it was protecting. It was protecting the heart. How many of you all have ever been around heartless people? I personally can’t stomach a heartless person. I need you to have a heart. I don’t need you to be perfect. I don’t need you to be flawless, but I need you to be able to feel. I need you to be able to feel. I need you to know you hurt somebody’s feelings and not be too arrogant to make it right. If you don’t have a heart, you don’t need a breastplate, and if your heart isn’t in the right place, then the breastplate won’t help you. So not only must you have a heart, your heart must be in the right place.

(02:47):
When you have displayed your breastplate, would you have girded yourself in your breastplate? Listen, you can survive being stabbed in the back. You can survive being stabbed in the heart if you have your armor on. See, when people die from heartbreak is because they expose their heart without the breastplate. All of us go through heartbreak. Somebody at your job was dumped by their spouse too. Somebody you see walking around all day happy, somebody lied to them as well. Somebody you see still going about life. Somebody gave them false hope too, but how did they survive? Because they had their armor on you. You better stop dating with no armor and don’t date anybody who doesn’t wear theirs.

(04:01):
You got to go to work with your armor on. You got to have your armor on in traffic. Don’t go into a meeting with your supervisor without your armor. Don’t have an argument with your spouse without your armor. You have to have your heart protected and your heart has to be in the right place. And when your heart is in the right place and your heart is protected by the word of God, you can survive being stabbed in the heart or stabbed in the back or betrayed or whatever word you want to put in the blank.

(04:43):
Character protects you. God will never allow the blade of a bum to penetrate the heart of the righteous if your heart is in the right place. I need everybody to type in the chat on the wall, heart adjustment. Where is your heart? I’m mean at this very moment. Who are you mad at? Who won’t you forgive? Who are you upset with? That’s I used say, I’m going to take a drink and let you swallow or who wants you forgive. Who are you like every time you see him? There they go. Can’t stand them. Hey, how you doing brother? In Christ, fake heart, wrong place, stabbed in the back. You got to get your heart in the right place. Which leads me to the third piece, the shoes of the gospel. See the Roman soldier, they wore spikes in sandals and the spikes were on the souls.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Well,

Pastor Keion (06:19):
You know sports, what does that do? It gives you better balance. So if you’re going to stand, or let me say it this way, if you’re going to withstand, then you got to be balanced. How many people will admit,

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Woo,

Pastor Keion (06:46):
You’re not so balanced right now. How many people admit you’re not so balanced? You’re off balance your emotions all over the place. Your heart is all over the place. Your mind is all the place, all a lot of different things. If it ain’t the money, it’s the child. If it ain’t the child, it’s the wife. It ain’t the wife, it’s the husband. If it ain’t the husband, it’s the job. If it ain’t the job, it’s the money. If it ain’t the money, it’s the dog. If it ain’t the dog, it’s the government. If it ain’t the government, it’s the restaurant. If it ain’t the restaurant, it’s the weather. Just shut your mouth and balance yourself because if it’s raining, it’s raining on the just and the unjust. If the economy is bad, it’s bad for all of those who are not covered by the armor. Lord, help me in this place, everybody in a relationship is going to struggle. It ain’t just your husband, it ain’t just your spouse, it ain’t just your son, it isn’t just your daughter. Everybody’s going through the valley of the shadow of death. But for those of us who have the armor on, we fear no evil. You see the difference? Lord, help your boy.

(08:22):
Notice the shoes and I’m going to say this, this is going to help somebody. They represent the gospel

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Of

Pastor Keion (08:31):
Peace because when you are balanced, you find

Speaker 2 (08:38):
Peace. Peace.

Pastor Keion (08:43):
That’s the path of all understanding. Are you psychologically balanced

(08:53):
Or this buzzword that has been really, really popping off in the last couple of years that we’ve ignored, it’s called mental wellness, mental health. Have you found out how stable you are between these six inches? Do you know how much turmoil can happen right here? Balance. There’s a whole lot of things that contribute to your balance. What are you eating? What kind of music do you listen to? How are you dressing? You know, feel better when you dress better. What environments are you subjugating yourself to? Who do you watch on Instagram? TikTok, what pages do you frequent?

(10:06):
I’m just saying you can’t have peace if you don’t have ballots. That also goes to those of you who think that if you go around quoting Bible scriptures all day, somehow you’re going to get into heaven because you know the Bible. The Bible never says you go to heaven because you know the Bible. You got to know God. And when you know God, when you know Jesus, it puts your heart in the right place and it gives you balance, which leads me to the next thing you’re going to have to have. Once you find that balance, you’re going to have to find your faith. The Bible says you got to have the shield of faith.

(10:53):
I used to watch, I said I was never going to do this. When them shows like Lord of the Rings and all of that stuff came out, I was like, no, I’m not watching that stuff. Well watched it and end up watching all of it. One of the things I realized is that they would dip their arrows in some sort of oil or something that will cause a flame and they would light it and shoot it and it would catch things on fire. And I realized that in antiquity, in the ancient times, they used to dip their swords in water to take care of the fiery darts of the devil.

(11:45):
The other thing I learned about the shield, and this is big because this is us. I’m in this empty room, but I’m talking to all of y’all who come in here sometimes talking to those of y’all who sit in this section, in that section and up in the balcony and then overflow if you go back and watch it, any of those type of shows from that era, anytime an enemy will come 300, for instance, that’s another good one. Everybody will put their shields together because the collective shields making one shield protects everybody. When you use your shield to just protect you, you leave yourself susceptible to a fiery dart. But when everybody uses their shield together, now you have a force field.

(12:36):
And here’s the deal, we don’t use our faith to bring about collective results from God. Like when everybody on the day of Pentecost was on one accord, the Holy Spirit came because everybody was on one accord. I need to connect my shield with yours, you with hers, hers with him, and we connect our faith so that we can overpower the enemy together. Let something happen in your neighborhood right now and the SWAT team has to show up. There’s going to be 10, 15, 20 guys with one shield together. Go back and watch January 6th with the riots on the capitol and you will see that all of the Capitol police were using their shields together and they were only overpowered because all of the people on the other side were using their power together. The capitol would not have been breached if all the people who used their shields were up against just a single person trying to get in. And if you go back and read the transcript, you’ll find out that there were some people on the inside of the capitol that actually allowed people in. See, because no chain can withstand the weakness of one link.

(14:09):
So in your life right now you’re trying to figure out how does the devil keep giving in? It’s somebody that ain’t using their shield. You got somebody in your circle that’s not praying. You got somebody in your circle that’s not balanced. You got somebody in your circle whose heart isn’t in the right place. You got to have the shield of faith and to go with that, you need what’s called the helmet of salvation. Helmets protect head injuries. I want you to start realizing that your head, your mind or view your mind as an environment. I want you to know that the devil let’s environmental terms global warming. He can overheat you. He can cause you to get hot, angry.

(15:00):
Let’s talk about ice age. He can cause you to freeze and not have activity. He’s attacking your mind and he does it in one or two ways. He gets you to not react or overreact. Now, how many people will raise your virtual hand and say, I’m a non-reactive. I just don’t do anything. I shut down. Okay, that’s a problem. And the people who do nothing think they’re better because they always have something to say about the people who overreact. But that’s not good either because overreacting causes actions that can’t be reversed and not reacting keeps you from acting on the strategy that actually does work.

(15:53):
Your mind is your most valuable asset, which is why the enemy wants to attack it because it is the thing here it is that keeps you from winning. All battles are won here first and then everywhere else, your mind, even you remember the commercial said, this is your brain and this is your brain on drugs. Remember the commercial, A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Every thing in your life depends on how you protect this. Right now you have an opportunity to get negative in your thoughts and everything that I say can go by the wayside. Like at this very moment you have enough to think about.

(16:52):
If there’s one thing I can tell you I can do, I can for the most part, not every time I can control this. See, when I’m hungry, this thing can tell me to keep going. Lemme tell you what I did over the last seven days. I preached on Sunday, I worked on Monday, I flew to Africa on Tuesday I landed at four, preached at six. Now you’re talking about a six hour time difference. Preached at six, went back to the hotel, studied, constructed, another message preached at one o’clock the next day, got on a plane, flew another 14 hours, 15 hours back, landed at midnight, preached a funeral at 10, got up the next day, preached another message on Sunday and everybody on the staff was wondering how I did it. I must tell you it was exhausting, but I have control over this.

(18:16):
This told this to keep going and wouldn’t you know it? The moment I was done on Sunday and I got home, I started sneezing. I started coughing because my body finally caught up with my head and the moment I relaxed, I gave myself permission to be sick for a couple of days. Now I felt it happening before Sunday night, but my mind said cold, you got to wait. And the cold obeyed me and the two days, which was Sunday night and Monday I didn’t leave the house, I stayed in the house, rested recuperated. I told the cole I got to go to work Tuesday. Cole checked out this morning. I’m done with it now. I’ve sneezed once today, yesterday I sneezed once every five seconds.

(19:25):
If you don’t get control over this depression, suicidal thoughts, imposter syndrome, quit insecurity, it’s just going to stay there and nobody’s going to be able to give you balance if you don’t. Faith won’t work if you don’t think on these things. You won’t win. If you cannot consistently control your mind, you’re going to have to put on the helmet of salvation, which comes with the sword of the spirit so that way when you cannot fight it off mentally, you can fight it all spiritually. You’re going to be fighting in two dimensions at all time. The mental dimension and the spiritual dimension.

(20:33):
I hope this is helping you. I can’t see the numbers right now and I’ll talk to my team, but I know that I love, love, love any movie that depicts a real story about the armed services, like if it’s the army, I’ve watched the invasion of bin Laden’s compound a million times. I’m enamored, enamored by the fortu stick to of a soldier and I love to see people who can fight through and I would talk to the team. I know that we probably started out the stream with this amount and you get to the end of the stream and there’s this amount, but this is why everybody doesn’t make it through basic training. This is why some people enlisted and enrolled, but everybody didn’t go to battle because only the soldiers stay.

(21:45):
And this month I’m building soldiers, I’m building soldiers. You don’t win because you signed up. You win because you stayed around. How many of y’all have children? I want to play basketball. Once they found out the practice schedule and how many times they can’t go with their friends, then they quit because only soldiers stay. I grew up at a time or if you signed up for something, you at least had to finish the season because mama said you cannot start something and not finish it. When I was growing up, I shouldn’t say when I was growing up, when I was a young adult over 20 something years ago.

(22:39):
How many of you all I know people always talk about nine 11, but most of some of you all were not around or you were relatively young, but those of us in our forties, fifties, you were around, you were a teenager up to your twenties in 2000 I believe won when those planes hit the twin Towers and America under then President George Bush launched an offensive in Iraq, and I remember probably like my grandparents would remember Vietnam, I remember hearing all of the numbers of the soldiers that were being killed, and I remember specifically in 2003 there was a number of 31,000 soldiers that had been wounded.

(23:37):
Those were devastating times. Remember we went to Afghanistan and I remember hearing about those casualties, I think, and I’m reading my notes now, it suggested that 37 million people died in World War I, 60 million in World War ii and all of those soldiers, listen to me, this is what I’m getting at. Every one of those soldiers died in uniform, every one of them. I just named at least a hundred million people who put on their physical armor and died in a physical battle. And God blessed the soldiers of these United States of America and our condolences to every family who has suffered a loss, some gave all and all gave some, but in the spirit there has been zero casualties for anybody who put on the armor of God.

(25:07):
You can put on your flesh armor, your world, armor, your satanic armor. You can put on all of that and still win the battle. But if you put on the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the shoes of the gospel, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, if you gird yourself in the truth, there has never been a person who has lost the eternal battle that has put on the armor of God. There’s a story of a boy who went to an old Baptist church and every Sunday for the devotion, the deacons would sing, I’m on the battlefield for the Lord. How many of y’all went to church and know that song? And his favorite part of the song was when it said, I promised him that I would serve him till I die. I’m on the battlefield for the Lord. He went on to join the army and he was forced into retirement and he was stake out in his neighborhood watching out for criminals after he came out of the army and he died one night in his car watching suspicious activity across the street from his house and when he died they found him in his full uniform, his full armor, and they found a letter in his pocket that said, if you, you’re reading this and you are wondering why I am dressed like this, it is because I promised him that I will serve him until I die.

(26:42):
I don’t don’t know who this word was for, but if you’re going to win this spiritual battle, you got to make sure you have your spiritual armor, your fleshly moves and works will not work this time.

(27:05):
I know you got to slick tongue and you’re quick on your feet and you know how to get people together and I know you can cuss people out until the cows come home, but baby, that ain’t going to help you in this one, my guy that won’t help you in this one. You’re going to have to have faith. You’re going to have to protect your mind. You’re going to have to have your heart in the right place. You’re going to have to make sure that you’re fortified with the shield of faith and surrounded by other people who have their shields of faith and you’re going to have to live on the side of truth that my friend, my brother, my sister, those are the secrets to victory. For those of you who are bored, God bless you. For those of you who are ready to fight, I’m enlisting you into the elite forces.

(27:54):
God is getting ready to trust you with a battle that other people can’t be trusted with because like that man in the car, when they find you and you have breathed your last breath, it will be because you’re on the battlefield for the Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray that nothing shall separate you from the love of God, either heights nor depths, nor things present, nor things to come. I pray that God will bless you in your health and in your wealth, in your psychology and in your physiology financially and mentally that you would win on every battlefield. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen. They’re putting, giving instructions up on the screen right now. You can click the QR code to give us your miracle report and testimony. Remember, you are a soldier and all you do is win. These are the secrets to victory. This is part two. I encourage you to go back and watch part one. I’ll see you next week. God bless you.

(29:01):
Hey everybody. My name is Pastor Keon Henderson. I am the founder of an organization called Take Action. Now. People are always direct messaging me and texting me and saying, pastor, what are you doing? How can I be a part of what you’re doing? And I know everybody doesn’t want to be a part of the local church, but what if I told you I had a way for you to partner with me so that we can affect change throughout the world? Hence, take action now. A 5 0 1 C3 nonprofit organization committed to advancing individual agency and social progress by protecting, strengthening and uplifting the underserved and disenfranchised the world. We’re doing humanitarian things, teaching entrepreneurism, teaching home ownership and institutional inequities, cultural deficits. We have our ear to the ground and we need your help to make a difference whether it is making a sizable donation to the estate of a young woman who lost her battle with cancer via the internet and we were able to make a difference there.

(30:06):
Or whether it is in a underserved community in the Caribbean islands where the children were playing amidst rocks and glass and we came in and broke ground recently on the park so that athletes and cheerleaders and young people in that community can have a safe place to stir up the gift inside of them. Whether it is paying the utility bills in cold climates for seniors or just helping basketball players get the proper uniforms of football players. It’s just us making a difference through financial literacy and technological empowerment and mentoring services. This is what we do, and all I’m asking you to do is become a partner with me right now and I want you to go visit Take action now.org. Don’t put off for tomorrow what you can do today.
