Pastor Keion (00:00:09):
Believe that we owe God a praise to all of our online audience, to Lighthouse Nation, to those of you all who are watching us all around the world, we give honor and deference to you and thank you for joining us on today. Luke chapter two, verse 21. If you got it, I got it. If you still look and say hold up, it’s 1111. Luke chapter two, verse 21, some man, something about to happen. Luke chapter two, verse 21, and when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called
Speaker 3 (00:01:20):
Jesus.
Pastor Keion (00:01:25):
Why did they wait eight days to name him when the angel already said what his name was before he was conceived? There’s a thought. What was his name? His name shall be called what? Which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. Okay, verse 22. And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord and it is written in the law of the Lord. Every male that openeth the wound shall be called holy to the Lord and to offer a sacrifice according to which is said in the law of the Lord to doves or two young pigeons. Verse 25 almost knocked me backwards when I read it. It was the first time in the history of me studying the scripture that I saw something and you’re going to learn something with me today that I learned this week and behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon and the same man was just and devout waiting for the consolation of Israel and the Holy Ghosts. Our I love the word of God
(00:03:20):
And the Holy Ghost was
Speaker 3 (00:03:22):
Up on him.
Pastor Keion (00:03:29):
God is so amazing. You don’t even know what I’m about to say, but I’m just telling you it’s off the chain. God is so amazing. I want to talk on this subject today. Very simple subject, very complex message. God told me to name this Christmas
Speaker 3 (00:03:47):
Cuts.
Pastor Keion (00:03:49):
I’m going to talk about Christmas cuts. Spirit of the living God fall fresh upon me. Spirit of the living God fall fresh up upon me. Bread of heaven, bread of heaven feed
Speaker 3 (00:04:03):
Us
Pastor Keion (00:04:05):
Until we want no more. In Jesus’ name we pray. Somebody say amen. You may be seated in the presence of the Lord. Have y’all noticed that the celebration for Christmas is getting earlier and earlier when I grew up, the calendar was Halloween, Thanksgiving,
Speaker 3 (00:04:46):
Christmas,
Pastor Keion (00:04:48):
Some of y’all little young Thundercats too young to know or we used to go to stores like Sears y don’t know nothing about that. Sears had a catalog my mama used to have. They’d be about this thick. You can get anything in Sears from socks to a refrigerator. Walmart think they doing something. Sears had that thing going on. You can get your oil changed at Sears, when we would walk in Sears, they would have their Christmas trees up somewhere around Thanksgiving, but now this is the truth. I was in Cracker Barrel, they had a Christmas tree up in September. There’s this buildup for Christmas. It is commercialized, it’s commerce. It’s billions and billions of dollars not in celebrating the birth of Jesus, but the culmination of all of the feasts, whether they be Jewish feast or Christian feast all together, there is this commercialism surrounding the holiday and we spend 3, 4, 5 months running up to Christmas. You hear music playing everywhere. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Everybody’s excited. There’s Christmas music and the Christmas hold on. Music is so strong you can’t make any new songs. You just got to sing the 12 We already got.
(00:06:41):
Let somebody come up with a new Christmas song and be like, ah, that’s okay, but what about, oh, holy Night jingle bells. It’s the same thing year after year after year and we build up September, October, November, we get through December only to know that Christmas was coming a year ago and in the mall on the 23rd talking about I got to get these people something hide in the presence in the closet, putting them in places where you don’t think people look, we know what you doing. That’s why you disappeared. It’s the same thing over and over and over again and then all of a sudden December 26th comes and it’s over. A man called me the other day said, Mr. Henderson, we’re going to come and get the lights down next week. It’s almost as if the day comes and it’s over. You spend all of that time building up for it to just be over. Just like you go from turning the lights on or having ’em on an automatic timer to the day after Christmas. Either they stay on for five days and you don’t recognize it or they don’t come on at all. It’s almost as if the birth of Jesus has no meaning after we celebrate it.
(00:08:23):
And God forbid all of the stuff that’s on the shelves before Christmas 500 for this 300, for that 1000 for that the day after Christmas, that same thing is cut. How is it that I can buy cheaper one day later? That means its value was the same the day before, but there is something about expense in the buildup that doesn’t carry over. Everything is cut, the lights are cut, the prices are cut, the store hours are cut. They give you longer store hours during the holidays, then it’s over and everything gets cut after Christmas, including Jesus for the Bible says eight days after he was born, he was circumcised so the price just get cut, the store hours get cut and so did the Savior circumcised on the eight day and as a minister of the gospel for 28 years, I have stood in the sacred place and preached the message of Jesus on Christmas to the point where when it comes, I say to myself, what else can I say about a boy whose mama was a virgin? What I just said should have just made you fall. His mama was a virgin. I’m going to say it again. You know what you got to do to get pregnant
(00:10:24):
So you know what you cannot be when you give birth. Thank you. And Joseph is looking at his wife’s stomach protruding and he says, now Mary, I know I don’t know you and you pregnant. And she says, oh Joseph, don’t worry about it. That’s the Holy Ghost baby
Speaker 3 (00:10:59):
Fellas,
Pastor Keion (00:11:02):
Fellas. Now I know you believe in God, but do you believe in him like that? You come home and your wife says, baby, we having a baby. You said, but we ain’t up. Oh, don’t worry about it. It was Jesus. Every year I get asked a question, y’all got time today. Every year I get asked a question, why do we celebrate Jesus’ birthday on the 25th every year I get the same question all 28 years of preaching, I get the same question and my answer is always the same. I don’t know and I know you think you a preacher, you should know. Nobody knows. There are three theories as to why we celebrate the birth of Jesus on the 25th. Number one sexist Africana said that Mary conceived on the 25th of March. Well, nine months from March 25th is December 25th. But that’s his theory because another philosopher came behind and said, no, he wasn’t born on the 25th. He was born in the springtime. Okay, listen to me church, nobody knows. There is no definitive answer as to why Jesus was born on the 25th. But what we do know is eight days later, no matter what day he was born on, we do know that eight days after he was born,
(00:12:59):
He was cut.
Speaker 3 (00:13:05):
Wow.
Pastor Keion (00:13:07):
Circumcised on the eighth day. I feel so weird talking about birth and time and Jesus in the same sentence because here we are trying to date a God who can’t be dated. I feel weird. I feel anxiety in my body trying to get you to understand how eternity can have a birthdate. How the one who is the farest of 10 thousandths can be in the womb. How he can be both the creator of Mary and yet need Mary to create him. How he can be marked by time, but yet skip through 42 generations, put himself in the womb of a woman he created and not speed up the process and be the only baby born in two months but put himself in humanity and waited nine months just like you. I don’t care how anointed you are. You still going to have to wait. I don’t care how pretty you are. You going to have to wait. I don’t care how smart you are. You going to have to wait. And that’s the problem with most of us is that we think that we’re so special that we should get to deliverance before anybody else, but you got nine months just like the rest of us. Snap. Somebody say you’re going to have to wait on yours too.
(00:14:40):
You waited nine months, kicked his mother in the stomach just like your baby did. You at you rode to church today, Mary had to walk with glory in her belly. Oh, see, you think it’s just a baby slap three people and said That’s glory. That’s glory.
(00:15:09):
You think that that’s an idea kicking. That’s glory. Somebody say, I got glory inside of me. I know you can’t see it. I can’t even explain how I got it. I don’t deserve it. I did nothing to get it. But somehow God chewed, he chose me to put this thing inside of. Can I just get you to tell your neighbor saying He picked me, he picked me, he picked me. We don’t know what day he was born on, but what we know for sure is that whether it was in the springtime, whether it was the 3rd of September, I like this church. Just the fact that y’all got that right away means I’m at home. D, see, look, I can see y’all just you just waiting. Boom, boom. That’s a real bass man over there. Is that you on the organ? I’ve been praying for you the whole time I met you. Tyrone. What is wrong with you? It was cut eight days later. Y’all still walking? Okay, because I’m getting ready to teach you something in your Bible that you can use for the rest of your life as a Christian as why you subscribe to this faith and not another.
(00:16:37):
We don’t know what day he was born, but we do know that eight days later he was cut and the reason why he was cut come here because what the Old Testament is God concealed the New Testament is God revealed. So what does this mean? Go back to Genesis and the Bible says that God came to Abraham and said to Abraham, through your flesh, I am going to make a covenant with you that you might be the father to the nations through your what?
Speaker 3 (00:17:14):
Flesh.
Pastor Keion (00:17:17):
What is circumcision? The cutting away of excess
Speaker 3 (00:17:22):
Flesh.
Pastor Keion (00:17:25):
Flesh that’s not needed. And he says to Abraham, he says, Abraham, after I give you this covenant, I want you to circumcise all of your sons on the eighth day. Now, Mary and Joseph are bringing up their son in the ways of the law. So the reason why they take Jesus to the temple to be circumcised is because they’re taking part in the Abrahamic covenant. Y’all got to get this. So now Jesus is about to be circumcised just like Isaac and there is no definitive proof, but we can assume that. So was Jacob circumcised on the eighth day and so were the 12 sons of Israel because Jacob’s name was changed to Israel. Are you still with me? How many of y’all still with me? I know this complicated, but you got to stick with me. So he circumcised on the eighth day because that is the law and circumcision was so important that out of all of the things you could not do on the Sabbath day, they allowed circumcision on the Sabbath day. Now, the reason why this is uncomfortable for some of y’all is because when I talk about circumcision, the only thing you can think about is the physical implications. So most people know enough about circumcision to be offended by the word, but not enough of us know about the spiritual implications that make us excited about the word
(00:19:00):
Because circumcision was a response to the law and Jesus says, I did not come to abolish the law. I came to fulfill the law. So he had to step into humanity, be circumcised as a human so that he can step outside of himself and redeem us as the lamb of God. So he who knew no sin became sin so that we might be the righteousness of God. So he says, I’m not human but I have to do it. Why? Because Genesis says, see begets after its own kind, which means that if I’m ever going to have a flesh that’s redeemed, it cannot be done through the spirit. So Jesus steps out of his isness becomes wiseness so that we might be eternal. That’s why the Bible says he is the one that was is and is to come. He was what he is, but he never stopped being what he was. He was God and man at the same time while he was in his mother’s womb, he still had the world on his finger. He didn’t have to stop being God to become man. He didn’t have to stop being man to become God. He was father, son and Holy ghost all at the same time.
(00:20:26):
And this is the complication of God that you’re still trying to explain the unexplainable. See, God is one of those things that you should stop trying to explain. His ways are not your ways, his thoughts are not your thoughts. If you could explain God that that would put you on his level, he was circumcised on the what day? Eighth day. On the eighth day. On the eighth day he was circumcised. So he was circumcised on the eighth day. Why? Because Abraham was told by God circumcised the children. On the eighth day he circumcised Isaac on the eighth day, Isaac circumcised Jacob on the eighth day, Jacob circumcised all 12 of his sons on the eighth day and the covenant also says that Abraham was also circumcised. Come here because at the time God told Abraham to circumcised himself. He was 90. Yeah, and you a girl and you saying that. So imagine what the fellas are saying. 90. He’s cut at 90. Then the Lord told me to ask the question. There are some people in here who ate. Like Abraham said, I’m too old
Speaker 3 (00:21:50):
For this.
Pastor Keion (00:21:53):
I didn’t know that I was still going to have to be cut like this at my age. I thought at this stage of my life, everything would be set. I thought at this stage of my life I’d already know who my friends are and who my enemies were. I thought at this stage of the life I’d have the career I wanted at this stage of life, my bank account would be where I wanted to be. I didn’t know at 90 I was still going to be getting cut. Anybody in here who’s ever said, I’m too old for this. I’m too old to be going back and forth with somebody. I’m too old to be arguing. I’m too old to be unhappy. I’m too old to be For anybody ever said, I thought I was done with this at this stage of my life, but what you don’t know is that after Abraham was cut at 90 he lived to 175, which means he lived 85 years after the cut. So the cut only shows you that you’re halfway there. I don’t know who I’m talking to, but Lord God, I wish I had somebody in here who knew that half of your life is still in front of you.
(00:22:55):
Slap three people to say, after all I’ve accomplished, this is only half of what I’m going to get. Are y’all not here with me today as much as I’ve done, I’ve only done half of what God has called me to do. Slap somebody. Say you’re halfway there. That’s the problem with your enemies. They think at 90 you got cut and God is punishing you all. You don’t understand this is cut. It’s just a break in the action. I got another half to live as much as you’ve accomplished. It’s only half of what God is going to do. I ain’t got nobody here. See, this is why we ain’t coming back to church at night. I can’t deal with this at midnight I said, you have only accomplished
Speaker 3 (00:23:53):
Half
Pastor Keion (00:23:54):
Of what God has promised you. Slap somebody who looked like they got the Holy Ghost and say we’re about to go into the second half. I’m about to change my strategy. I’m about to bench some players. I’m about to put some starters on the bench and I’m going to take some people off the bench and put ’em in a starting spot, but I’m about to make some halftime adjustments. Somebody shot us halftime. Abraham was cut at 90. Jesus was cut at eight days. Why? Point number one, all cuts are calculated. You have never been cut at the wrong time. Inconvenient. Yes, painful, absolutely, but it was still the right time. Scientists will tell you that any baby that is born there are highest immune and affection fighting activity and blood clotting possibilities happen on the eighth day. So this is a perfect day for surgery. You were cut not when you felt like it, but when God had built you up so you could handle it. Great Is he that is. See, God puts something in you that’s going to fight off what the devil is trying to do to you. It may be inconvenient
(00:25:35):
But necessary. You have never been cut at the wrong time. Your steps have always been ordered by the Lord and although you might not have wanted it at the time you had to deal with it, it was the perfect time. Whether it was 90 or eight days, your cuts are calculated in the season. You can handle them. Stop putting your life on everybody else’s timetable. You don’t have to be up when everybody else is up. You don’t have to be killing it when everybody else is killing it. When they’re killing it and you struggling. Praise God for them. Congratulations. How about a round of applause, but I’m at halftime and when it’s my season, you just better be ready to clap for me. God’s about to turn it.
Speaker 3 (00:26:37):
Good God
Pastor Keion (00:26:42):
Slap somebody and God’s about to turn it around. He’s about to turn it around. He’s about to turn it around. He’s about to turn it around. This is half time. This is half time. This is half time. I’ve got what it takes to survive this cut. I got the support system to survive this cut. I got the prayer life to survive this cut. I slap three people and say you need to cut it. Go ahead and get the cut over with because I shall come forth like pure gold. I might be bleeding, I might be in pain, but it’s halftime. He had to be cut because the loss said that he must be cut and in order to cut us from the law, he had to be cut according to the law so then he can institute and implement grace. So we are not saved by the law. We are saved by grace. So he had to be cut so that if you are not cut, you not saved because he is the lamb sl before the foundation of the world and we walk into the righteousness of God through the obedience of God who stepped out of eternity
(00:28:22):
Into humanity that I might be the righteousness of God, although I am unrighteous myself. See, stop letting people tell you that we saved by works. See, because if you could do something to be saved, you could also do something to be unsaved. When Jesus died on the cross, it was the perfect picture of so viic expression that when he died, he became the high priest. Lord, help me in this place and made sure now that we don’t have to bring a yearly sacrifice behind the holies of holies because he is the once and for all lamb that will slain for the foundation of the world and there is no sacrifice for sin needed from you because he is the sacrifice. Now you must be obedient to the will of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. This is why I love Christianity. This is why I love God because we serve a God who put himself in our place.
Speaker 3 (00:29:39):
Hallelujah.
Pastor Keion (00:29:40):
Which is why you cannot fault him for asking you to do things in the flesh. He did it. He forgave those who used him. That’s why he can expect you to do it because he did it. You can say I ain’t God. Well technically he wasn’t when he made the decision, even though he was when he made the decision, in the beginning was the word and the word was and the word was with God. See, you got to understand this is the first time in the history of the world and the only time that God was presented to God any other time they brought a lamb, it was a lamb to God, but it was the lamb of God to the God of the lamb. Oh God. He presented himself to himself, which is why when he made man, he said, let us create man in our image and after our likeness, touch your neighbor and say cuts are calculated. I know you in pain, but your pain is proof that you on schedule. Oh, am I the only one in here that the devil has made feel uncomfortable in the last couple months? Devil I thought it was over. All I know now is these cuts mean I’m right on schedule. Slap somebody and tell ’em, baby you ont schedule. I know it don’t feel like it but you on schedule. I know it doesn’t seem like it, but you’re on schedule.
(00:31:27):
I said I thought I was too old for this. You know you don’t heal when you’re older like you do when you’re younger. See, what’s the definitions between young and old? It’s not age. It’s knowing that you don’t recover. You better hear what I’m telling you. The difference between knowing what stage you are in life, it’s the care you take to make sure that you are not injured emotionally, physically, or psychologically because you know what it takes to get over hurt when you get to a certain age. That’s why you got to be careful when you 50 and 60 you talking about Dayton, you can’t handle a heartache at 60 like you can at 20. At 20 you find somebody else that’s 60. You start shooting people because you done got you too old. You’re like, I didn’t wait to get 60 to deal with a fool. You fool with me and leave me alone because at 60 I might cut your mama. I’m just telling you, leave me alone. Snap. Somebody say, I’m too old for this. I don’t play games. I don’t play games. I didn’t do recess when I was in school. I don’t play games. I don’t play. Tell somebody I don’t play. I don’t have time to play. I’m too old for this. If you don’t want me, leave me alone. I’m too old for this.
(00:33:08):
Yes, I’m cut. Yes, I’m bleeding and if that’s too much for you, leave me alone. But so are you. You bleeding too, you just can’t see it. You imperfect too. You just don’t recognize it. You get on my nerve as well, but you just don’t see it all have sinned. We’re all the cut people. I’m just trying to find, let me move on baby. I got to hurry up. I know we got to eat. He was circumcised on the eighth day. I can’t get over it. Rama, I just can’t get over it. How can I be talking about sin and circumcision and God in the same sentence,
Speaker 3 (00:34:35):
He’s
Pastor Keion (00:34:35):
Holy but he’s bleeding. He screamed when they cut him just like your son and daughter when they stuck your daughter with the needle there, there was no difference. He’s human but he’s God. The dichotomy of the divinity that he is what he was and was what he is didn’t stop being what he became and never became anything. He always was.
Speaker 3 (00:35:12):
That’s God.
Pastor Keion (00:35:17):
But he was still circumcised on the eighth day.
Speaker 3 (00:35:26):
Well
Pastor Keion (00:35:31):
This is why this is important because Jesus is the first born of Mary and Joseph. They would eventually have other children but he was the first born. Ah, no wonder when God told Pharaoh to let the people go, he sent 10 plagues. You remember the water turned, the blood gnats, locusts flies hell. What was the last plague? The death of the first born. So the plague descends on Egypt while Israel is in Egypt, but the way Israel kept the plague from them, what happens when you’re cut blood? They put blood on the doorpost, which is why we call it the feast of the Passover because when the death angel came and started killing the firstborn in every house, wherever the blood was applied, the death angel, are you listening to me? The death angel passed over, which is why I tell people that if we are saved by the blood of Jesus, then where we saved at Calvary or were we saved on the eighth day because the first time we see Jesus bleed is not on the cross
Speaker 3 (00:37:14):
Preach.
Pastor Keion (00:37:17):
But when he was eight days old, he was already bleeding for the sins of the world. He was the lamb
Speaker 3 (00:37:29):
Bible
Pastor Keion (00:37:30):
Of God. He’s bleeding already after eight days and the eighth day on the Sabbath and the number eight has been connected to new beginnings. Did you know there were only eight authors in the New Testament? Did you know that when the flood corrupted and destroyed the world, the world was repopulated with eight people out of Noah’s family? The number eight has already been connected to abundance, which is why the sign for Affinity infinity watch this. I never knew that the number eight actually means super positionally. Watch this, it super abundance are to be covered in fat. So when Jesus was circumcised on the eighth day, the poverty of man was now replaced with the abundance of God and the scripture says that when you give right, you shall eat of the fat of the land. I don’t know who this word is for, but when Jesus was born and we just dropped the ceremony on the 25th and we don’t recognize that we got to go to the eighth day and going back to antiquity, we call it the new year. What they call it in Jewish feast is the feast of the circumcision. So the first day of the year, you count it from the 25th. By the time you get to the first day of the year, it circumcised because new years don’t begin until you get new cuts
(00:39:44):
And God says, I can’t even give you a new cut because you ain’t recovered from the old one. I can’t bless you because you still whining about an old wound. Can you heal so you can get cut again? I don’t know who this word is for. I’m just trying to find somebody in the balcony or somebody in this room. Just look at your neighbor and say, can you just hurry up and heal so you can get cut? Let not forget that while we are talking about Jesus being cut on the eighth day. Why? Why? Why? Oh you crying about your little cut. He ripped his mama and she had to walk with her rips. At least he got carried. Yeah, I know you cut but at least you’re comfortable. I know you’re bleeding. At least you got a roof over your head. You are not walking. What about Mary’s cuts? I guarantee you hers were bigger than his and she wasn’t cut because she needed to be cut. She was cut because he had to be born. I want to talk to people whose cuts don’t even belong to them. I’m cut because I had to carry you. I’m cut because I’ve been praying for you. I’m cut because I had to look behind you. I had to look over your faults too. I had to look to your knees too. I’m bleeding
(00:41:28):
And all you want me to do is see your cuts. What about mine? You didn’t have to carry me, I had to carry you. By the way, go back and read your Bible. If Jesus had have been a girl, she would’ve been allowed in the temple after eight days because the timeframe for purification was eight days if you had a girl. But remember when I read the text, he was a boy and the bible says that he being the first born, it means then you have to wait 40 days to go back to the temple. Six weeks. Y’all see why y’all mama tell y’all to stay in the house six weeks? Oh y’all laughing. I’m serious. Your mama didn’t just see a lot of the stuff that our moms and dads tell us. Y’all think they just made it up. It’s rooted in history that’s been passed down from generation to generation. The reason why your mama told you when you had a baby to stay in the house for six weeks and not be in no heels in a week is because you can’t be around everybody when you open preach. I feel like preaching. You can’t be walking around trying to keep up with people when you’ve been ripped from birthing something, stay your butt at home until you heal
(00:43:11):
You in another relationship and you ain’t even healed from the rip. You’re not ready to be out yet. You’re going to expose your spirit. You’re going to expose the inside of you to a demonic force and when you are wounded, you have no defense system. Stay in a safe place until you mend.
Speaker 3 (00:43:50):
You teach
Pastor Keion (00:43:50):
It. She had to wait six weeks, six weeks before she could go. Why? Because she was wounded, she was gripped, she was bleeding too and her wounds would not heal as fast as his. You can’t be around everybody when you’re open. I know you lonely, but it ain’t time to date until you heal. Until you heal. Take yourself to I pick until you heal. Walk around in the mall, put on some tights and a sweater. So if anybody asks you what you’re doing, tell ’em you exercise. Don’t expose your spirit until you’ve been sealed. This is the problem with most of us is we don’t have the patience to wait until the stitch is released. You’ve been in pain so long you don’t recognize you’re still in pain. You are a functionally addicted to the pain so you can complain about it so that we can make you feel better about something which is yourself, which after we finish the job you will still not feel good about you because you healed wrong. And anybody will tell you that whenever you don’t get the proper treatment and you heal wrong, you got to go in and let him break it again so you can heal right and you are so afraid of the pain, you don’t want to be broken again so he you are with a limp for the rest of your life because you won’t let God break you so he can heal you.
(00:45:49):
What if I told you that this pain that won’t leave you is God’s way of dealing with you for the last time you did not heal before you moved on because all cuts are calculated. You are not going through anything you don’t need. If you will mature in that area, you wouldn’t be suffering in that area. He is vexing you in your weakness and while you talking about I’m going to wait on you, God says I’m waiting on
Speaker 3 (00:46:24):
You
Pastor Keion (00:46:26):
And because I’m eternal I got more time. So do you want to die with this infirmity or do you want to get yourself together so I can lift up your head and you can move into out of the darkness and into the marvelous light you pick because I’ll be here after you gone circumcised on the eighth day death angel passed us over Bishop, now that Jesus is born, Mary and Joseph have to take him to the temple so that he might be circumcised and everybody knew that when you went to the temple you had to take a offering. It’s just we’re the only people that’s surprised by that. You’re not supposed to go to the temple without an offering. Go back and read the Bible. The Bible says that when they went to get circumcised they had to take an offering and the law said that they had to bring one pigeon and one lamb, but if you didn’t have enough money to buy a lamb because a lamb was an expensive offering, the law allowed you to bring two turtle doves. See you think they just made this stuff up. You could bring two turtle doves or two pigeons
(00:48:06):
Because a pigeon is called the rat of the sky. It’s an inexpensive bird. Anybody could get two pigeons. So Mary and Joseph are on their way to the temple because they don’t have a lot of money. They’re bringing two pigeons. They don’t have a lamb so they’re going to take two pigeons because the law says you have to bring a lamb and a pigeon, but because they didn’t have a lot of money, they bring two pigeons and the whole world is about to find out that when they get to the temple they’re going to give overflow because they’re going to have two pigeons and not just a lamb, but here’s what God told me to tell you. You don’t know it yet, but you already got what you need. Tell somebody I’m already carrying it. I didn’t know I had it like that. I didn’t find out I had it like that until they fought me like that. You already got what you need. They already have a lamb in to
Speaker 3 (00:49:40):
Yeah
Pastor Keion (00:49:41):
And here they think they’re about to show up with an insufficient offering and they’re carrying the hope of Israel. They’ve got the lamb of God in their hands and why you are out here complaining about what you don’t have, you don’t even realize you already got the lamb. You already have what you need, but God will conceal it from you so that you will not be hardy and prideful about the fact that you have an exceptional gift. So he’ll let you carry exceptionalism thinking that you are operating in mediocrity, not recognizing that the thing that’s in you is the thing that is the hope of glory. And if you would recognize that God doesn’t birth junk, you are focused on the pigeons and you’ve been carrying the lamb the whole time, not just a lamb goes in the temple, behold the lamb of God. See, this will make me see y’all don’t love Jesus. I love him. I got to hold myself together because see, when I look at him on that cross, I don’t see him. I see me. This is the problem with the church. We don’t understand that Sal Viic work of Christ was to prevent you from going to hell. This is not a story. This is not a nativity scene. This is not some folklore. This is actual life and death and had he not died, you would’ve had to.
(00:51:47):
Aren’t you glad? He’s eternal, which means that whatever sin you are about to commit, he already ready. He’s the alpha and the omega. He’s the first and the last. He’s the fairest of 10 thousandths. He is who was and is and is to come however he is only now. So he was, but he ain’t. He is, but he’s not. He is, but he’s there. He’s here but he was, which means that when somebody prayed in 1776, watch this, it means that God observed the pyramids being built in two 20 BC At the same time he experienced the Empire State Building being built in 1930 at the same time he was there when they built the pyramids and he was in New York when they built the Empire State Building in 13 months or 410 days all at the same time. I know it is crazy, right? When Christopher Columbus came to America, God was already here like welcome, so were the Indians, but that’s a whole nother story and he’s already in the year 3000. If the world shouldn’t last waiting on us to come talking about boy, when y’all get here the cars really do fly.
(00:53:36):
Ain’t no cancer over here. He’s everywhere At the same time, behold the lamb of God who taken away the sins of the world all from a 14-year-old virgin, you’d be surprised what could come out of you if you let God use you, somebody shall super abundance. Super
Speaker 3 (00:54:13):
Abundance.
Pastor Keion (00:54:15):
I decre and declare in the year 2024, you shall eat of the fat of the land. I’m going to say it again. Our decree and declare we’re going to go from talking about $50 million in miracle reports to people saying I made 50 million in the year. I am telling you, I’m telling you what I know. This is about to go from debt cancellation to checks being issued. God says I took care of the debt so you wouldn’t spend super abundance on debt. The abundance is for you. So I’m going to pay the natural debt the same way I did the spiritual debt. You shall eat
Speaker 3 (00:55:11):
Of the fat
Pastor Keion (00:55:13):
Of the land and don’t you apologize. Touching every say I’m a ball and I don’t care what you got to say about it. Care what you got to say. If they hate you now they’re going to hate you real good next year they mad because you got a Cadillac. What they going to say when you on a dealership you mad because I got some clothes. What you going to do when I open up this boutique? What you going to do? What you going to do? What you going to do When money is not an object, what you going to do when all I got to do is think of it and it is at my floor? What you going to do? God says, some of y’all going to pay your enemies debt this year. You going to just write ’em a check and say, oh, I thought you was mad at me. You just mad because you broke. He’ll take that. God bless you. Y’all got time. I got like seven more minutes. I mean this is New Year’s Eve service, right? You don’t have to pretend it’s midnight. By the way, it’s 1207. We made it somewhere,
(00:56:34):
Somewhere, somewhere. We made it somewhere and we’re going to have New Year’s Eve service in 2024. The Lord already told me what we’re going to do. Okay, so what would happen? Joseph took Jesus into the temple. Check me on this fact. Check me. The father and the mother would take the baby into the temple once they arrived. The mother after 40 days would present herself saying, I’m purified. She had to prove it. So hers was called purification. Then they would take the baby. That was called the presentation. Now what would happen is is the priest when he would enter, he would ask for a gift of five shepherds, which he’s equivalent. Today’s money of $2 and 50 cents. Are you listening? The priest will then ask the question, would you rather give up your firstborn son or get your $2 and 50 cents back? Any good father will say, keep the change. I want my son to be raised in the ways of the Lord. Then the rabbi will say, may the Lord bless thee and keep thee and make his face to shine upon the and be gracious unto thee the Lord lift up his counts up upon thee and give thee peace.
(00:58:49):
Cuts are the only proof that you have that you are ready to be presented. If you show up at the presentation and you haven’t been cut, you are not ready for presentation. That’s why many of you keep showing up. God, I’m ready. God, where are your wounds? Every time I try to cut you, you figure out a way not to hurt, but the cuts are the price tag for presentation for all of you all who don’t like pain and you figure a way to manipulate yourself out of every lesson. Too bad you will miss the presentation. You got to go through the valley of the shadow of death. You can’t hover over it. The problem with most of us is we don’t respond well to pain every time we hurt, we quit. Every time you hurt, you got to a retreat and deal with yourself. Jesus was God while he was bleeding and if you don’t figure out how to lead and bleed, you’ll always be a follower. This is what separates the wheat from the tear, the good from the great, the great can lead and bleed. The average cry about every cut. Jesus
(01:00:34):
Had 39 lashes on his back, 39 cuts and the scripture says he never said a word. Just because you hurt don’t mean you get to complain. Just because you’ve been cut don’t mean you get to shut down. Just because you’ve been cut doesn’t mean that everybody else has to suffer until you put enough ointment on it and recover. You got to be able to say, father, forgive them for they know not what they do with blood streaming down your head. Otherwise you’re not ready for presentation. Y’all still here? Yes sir. Romans 12 and one. I present my body. I’m going to give you Bible until I’m done. I present my body. Therefore brethren, I present my body as a living sacrifice. Holy and acceptable unto the which is my. You got to be cut. You got to be betrayed. You have to get less from people who you gave more to. You have to, your heart has to be broken by somebody you lifted up off the ground. You have to be abandoned by somebody you saved from a burning building. You have to go through hell before you can get heaven. Even Jesus went to hell and preached a revival
(01:02:30):
Because you have to know what fire feels like so you can accept faith. You got to be lonely so you’ll appreciate company. You have to be left so you’ll hold on to people. You got to cry so you’ll enjoy the good days. See, this is what pain teaches you, that when a good day comes, you got to soak all that thing up. You can’t be walking around here with your head down because good days don’t come as often as you need them too. And so when you get one, you better enjoy it. I know you might think your relationship ain’t perfect, but let me ask you, do you want to be in the one you in or the one you was? And if you want to be in the one you was in, you should have stayed. If you want to be in the one you’re in, enjoy it and realize that both of y’all cut.
Speaker 3 (01:03:33):
Man.
Pastor Keion (01:03:35):
Y’all ain’t trying to holler at your boy present. Everybody say present. Present. Perris to me. In the Greek it means a person or a thing that places themselves at the disposal of another. You all remember in the Bible when the disciples and all those people was arguing like Leon, they was saying, we are the descendants of Abraham. Y’all remember we the descendants, we were never slaves. Y’all remember what they said? We were never slaves. They bragging to Jesus like we were never slaves. So what you got to offer, Jesus shut the whole thing down and said, you bragging to me about being related to Abraham and the fact that you never been slaves, fool don’t. Before Abraham was, I am the beginning, before the beginning began and I never stopped being the present while I was the pastor and I never stopped being the past while creating the future. Future. Abraham’s daddy, boy, I’m the one that gave Abraham the covenant. And by the way, I am the covenant keeper. Present means irreversible, which means that when you present yourself to God, it’s a cut you can’t take back. See, most of us like to play double Dutch with God. Anybody remember back in the day, I can’t double my sisters and them used to do it. I can’t do it. I’m too much of a G. But you know what I’m saying, I can jump one rope, but two, it’s too much. So this is what it looked like for me. Double Dutch.
(01:05:41):
But I ain’t get because once I get in there it’s going to get my ankle and it is going to be over. Watch this. This is what most of us do when it comes to committing to God fully. You ever seen somebody scared they don’t want to get? I says, if I cut you, you’ll always have a scar and you won’t be alone because asked him what they saw when I showed him my hands. Even Jesus himself did not erase his scars when he came off the cross because the scars are there to remind you about what you survived. Any survivors in here, let me finish this up. I’m going to quit. You’re the only one. They want me to stay. They want me to be done. Jesus is taken to the temple. This thing blew my mind. Took him to the temple. I read it to you. Have you ever asked yourself, who is the dude that got to take the blade to cut Jesus? Because see, I’ve be like, oh, I now he’s done a thousand circumcisions, but you just can’t cut Jesus and get away with it. What if he get mad?
Speaker 3 (01:07:42):
What if he get?
Pastor Keion (01:07:44):
What if the table turned and Jesus show up, you cut me. Boom, it’s gone. No, he could keep you without touching you. One man went to touch the Ark of the Covenant. He died without God even touching him. I said, who is the man that had the unmitigated gall and audacity to make Jesus bleed? His name was Simeon, his name was Simeon. Simeon was one of the 12 sons of Jacob. Okay, now go back to Genesis chapter 34. Jacob has a daughter named Diner. Diner was raped by the men of Shechem. His brothers were upset that their daughter, the word of God says had been defiled. So what they do is they trick all of the men of Shechem into being circumcised because only they knew how much pain you are in when you’re circumcised because the men of second were not under the covenant. So they knew that after three days of being circumcised, you are the soars. So they waited three days and two of Jacob’s sons took out swords and killed all of the men of Secum, Levi and Simeon. So we see Simeon in the Old Testament used in circumcision Rome.
(01:09:33):
He uses circumcision to murder men. In Genesis 34, old Testament concealed New Testament revealed Fast forward the man who murdered men with circumcision is now the priest in the temple with an opportunity to circumcise again. But this time I think I see the God of a second chance who will allow you to do something wrong in your Old Testament, but give you a chance to redo it in your New Testament. Can I get a thousand people to slap somebody and say I’m walking into my New Testament. The same Simeon that murdered men through circumcision is now given a chance by God to be redeemed and now he is circumcising God because God gives him an opportunity to use the wrong thing the right way. Don’t let anybody make you think that because you got it wrong in your Old Testament that God won’t bless you in your New Testament. Touch three people and say, that was me, but this is me and God is about to give me an opportunity to redeem myself. Y’all don’t want to shout in here, touch somebody, say, I’m redeemed, I’m redeemed. I’m bought with a price. Look at God
(01:11:18):
When Simeon killed the men through circumcision, the Bible says in Genesis 49 that his father came back to him and said, because you killed those men. I am taking the promise from you. Simmon is one of the two tribes that did not get a part of Canaan. But look at God says, man, don’t got the final say Your daddy’s name is Israel, but I’m the new Israel and I’m about to give back to you what your daddy took from you. I don’t know who this word is for today, but God says, your Old Testament won’t cancel your new opportunity. No matter what you did in the past, God’s about to redeem you slap five people and say, I’ve been redeemed. Alright, lemme say it this way. 2023 was your Old Testament and you are about 12 hours away from your New Testament. I want to see how you’re going to act. I want to see how you’re going to act as God has taken you from where you were to where you are supposed to be. I want every person in the room and online who will admit that you used the right thing the wrong way last year, but come hell or high water, this is your season to do it right. Snap. Somebody say, I’m going to get it right this year.
(01:12:56):
Look at your neighbor and say, neighbor, my name is Simeon and God told me to tell you weeping me and it for a night. But joy is going to come in the morning and I don’t know who I’m speaking to, but your new season is on the way. I don’t know who I’m preaching to, but all things are passed away and all things are becoming new. Snap your neighbor on the hand. Tell ’em, neighbor, your next year is going to be your best year. I’m just trying to find my click in here. Look at your neighbor and say, neighbor, your next year is going to be your best year. Don’t you wait until the battle is over.
(01:13:55):
Shout right now. Give your neighbor high five and shout a neighbor. You’re going to have to give me some room. I just had a flashback when I should have been dead sleeping in, but God gave me another chance and I got a witness here. You got the wrong neighbor. Turn and find somebody who looks like they shouting. Find somebody who looks like they got the Holy Ghost. Find somebody who looks like they can’t help themselves. Find somebody who’s rocking side to side. Find somebody who appointed you from across the road. Find somebody who done kicked their shoes off already. Find somebody who looks like they want to take the jacket off. Find somebody. Let the redeem of the Lord say so. Shout in. Oh, find somebody else. This is your last time today. Grab a neighbor by the hand, grab ’em real tight. Reel ’em and rock ’em. Rock ’em and reel them. Put your hand on their shoulder. Lean with it. Rock with it. Lean with it. Rock with it. Lean with it. Rock with it. Say neighbor, you don’t know. You don’t know what I had to go through just to get here. This is my here sha, your
(01:16:01):
This is my here. Don’t quit after the cut, I feel something happening in this room. All 2023 was just, but this next year God is going to make every evil person have to repay you for the cut. God’s going to make every witch in warlock have to compensate you for the cut. Somebody shout, second chance somebody shout. Second chance. It wasn’t the first Adam, it was the second Adam. God is the God of us. Be not weary in your well doing. There’s even hope for Simeon. Who would’ve thought that the man who killed the men in she them would somehow be the priest in the temple and Jesus would deliver himself to somebody that none of you would’ve picked. See, this is the thing about preachers you think we’re perfect. God picked us because we’re not so we can deal with you. Do you know how frustrated I would be if I was perfect having to deal with y’all? So I have to be wounded so I have sympathy. I have to be cut so I’ll have sympathy. It’s what makes me a good leader, which is why I have to struggle before I could lead you.
(01:18:29):
And here you are talking about practice what you preach. No, I’m practicing what you didn’t preach so we can all preach together. That’s why he had to step in flesh so he would understand our infirmities. We were born in the sin shaping in iniquity, the chastisement of ours. Peace was placed upon him and by his stripes, not mine, we are healed. Nobody in history would’ve thought the man who used circumcision as a way to murder men would be the one to circumcise eternal life. Look at God flipping that thing. Yo yesterday will not prevent you from the function that God has for you in tomorrow. But I can only imagine the change that Simeon had to make in his life in order to be at the place as a trusted priest who probably has circumcised a thousand men before Jesus. Your turn is coming. Stop. Listen, I get we getting ready to crossover. It don’t matter if it’s 2024 January 1st or if it’s April 3rd, it don’t change. You do a new year, has never done anything for anybody, but gave them another chance to either get it right or wrong. That’s it. God is redeeming the time.
(01:20:33):
Thank God he was born. But if we didn’t get to the eighth day, what would’ve happened if Jesus was still born? What would’ve happened if he was premature and he lived but for a few days and died before he got to the eighth day? Oh, by the way, if you can’t conceive that, let’s just keep it real. He died at 33. He died young anyway, so it wasn’t as if Jesus was 969 like Methuselah. He died at 33. He wasn’t 175 like Moses. He died at 33. And in fact, everything we talk about Jesus doing, he did in three years. His first miracle at Cain of Galilee was when he was 30. In John chapter two, he was done on the cross headed to Golgotha at 33 years old. Every miracle, every story you ever read about Jesus happened in three years because it doesn’t matter if you get a new year, if you don’t use it to its capacity. I beseech you lighthouse nation and lighthouse in this room by the mercies of God that you would present yourself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto him, which is your reasonable service. And I decree and declare that if you do that, you shall eat
(01:22:32):
Of the fat of the land this year. Wealth and wisdom is our portion miracles after miracles after miracles, please listen to me and don’t become so accustomed to the miracle that you forget to thank the miracle worker. If I am a good pastor, show me by how you follow Jesus, not by how you come to church. That is not a barometer that I’m a good leader. I will be considered a good leader if you go ye. Therefore not come ye here too. Go ye. Therefore preaching and teaching and baptizing people in the name of the Father, son and the Holy Spirit and sharing your faith wherever you go. And don’t use what your pastor said as a way of being smart that as a way of bringing people to the cross. Don’t beat people over the head with the gospel. Lift them up with it. Don’t make people feel insecure because you’ve been in church 40 years and the whole Bible. There’s some people that walked in church last month, but they love God more than you do. A person’s skirt length and hair color and length of nails. None of that has anything to do with nothing. That’s all man stuff. And I’m so tired of us putting man stuff on God. I don’t know what to do
(01:24:21):
As if somebody’s less saved because they got purple hair. You can go to hell with the natural color hair that come out of your head. Skirt lengths and suits and hats and tongues and all that kind of stuff. Those are the gifts of the spirit, but they are not the spirit themselves. The evidence that you are saved is that you’ve accepted Jesus Christ in your heart and you have confessed with your mouth. That’s it. That is the game. And you can do it from the balcony or from the front. Truth is you can do it from the parking lot. Truth is Somebody’s doing it online right now. You can do it in a three piece suit. You could do it in a bathrobe. It’s the truth. We got to stop throwing our customs on people as if they are religion. Jesus. There is no way to His daddy except by him. That’s it.
